In the spectacular surroundings of Rebild National Park, ballet, nature, and community come together in a unique experience for both ballet connoisseurs and new enthusiasts.

The Royal Danish Summer Ballet has been a regular part of the Danish cultural summer since 2006. Every year, dancers from the Royal Danish Theatre travel around the country, performing under the open sky in some of Denmark’s most beautiful settings.
In Rebild Bakker, the performance takes place in the natural arena known as “Gryden”, where the hills form a spectacular setting for the stage. Here, ballet, nature, and community come together in an atmosphere that attracts both dedicated ballet fans and curious first-time visitors.
Admission is free, and everyone is welcome to settle down on the grass and enjoy the performance.

You can choose between a shorter walk in Rebild Bakker or a longer hike through the hills and into Rold Skov. Both tours end well before the performance, giving you time to return to Gryden and find a good spot for ballet under the open sky.
